Remote PHP Software Engineer (Latin America)

About the role

We are looking for a Remote PHP Software Engineer to join our talent network and work on project‑based assignments for US clients across Latin America. You will become an integral part of the client’s development team, collaborating daily with designers and engineers to deliver high‑quality backend solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PHP applications using CakePHP and the LAMP stack.
• Build and consume RESTful APIs, integrating third‑party services.
• Collaborate with front‑end developers using JavaScript, jQuery and React.
• Deploy, monitor and optimise applications on AWS (EC2, RDS, S3).
• Refactor legacy codebases and improve system performance.
• Participate in code reviews, Git workflows and CI/CD pipelines (Docker, automated deployments).
• Work within Agile/Scrum teams, using Jira and Bitbucket for task management.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Proven ability to work remotely full‑time (≈40 hours/week) in a distributed team.
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, ownership‑driven mindset.
