QA Engineer – Manual Testing (Remote, Ecuador)

About the role

We are seeking a Manual QA Engineer to join our near‑shore team and ensure the quality of enterprise web applications. The role is fully remote, based in Ecuador, and works within Agile squads to deliver reliable software releases.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and execute test cases derived from business requirements.
• Perform functional, regression, integration and end‑to‑end testing of web applications, APIs and data‑driven workflows.
• Log, track and retest defects until closure using Jira or Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Development and Business teams throughout the sprint.
• Participate in sprint planning, user‑acceptance testing and release activities.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of hands‑on manual testing experience.
• Strong understanding of the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect lifecycle.
• Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Manual functional and regression testing.
• API testing with Postman (or similar tools).
• Basic SQL querying.
• Test management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
