Python Open Source Contributor – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Python Open Source Contributor to join our remote team on a contract basis. You will work on production‑grade code, reviews, and documentation for open‑source repositories that support our customer projects.

Key responsibilities

• Write, review, and document high‑quality code for open‑source projects.
• Design, implement, and optimise complex algorithms and system components using languages such as C++, Python, Java, Go, TypeScript, or Rust.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and technical challenges in existing codebases.
• Collaborate with other contributors and stakeholders to ensure deliverables align with project goals and best practices.
• Maintain and enhance technical documentation to aid knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Participate in code discussions, providing constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.

Required profile

• Experience working on large‑scale, distributed codebases.
• Proven track record of rigorous code reviews and adherence to software best practices.
• Familiarity with modern AI or machine‑learning systems is a plus, but not mandatory.
