About the role

The Programme Assistant provides procedural, administrative and operational support to the country programme in Quito, ensuring effective implementation and monitoring in line with UNICEF regulations.

Key responsibilities

  • Support programme and project activities, including planning, implementation and monitoring.
  • Provide administrative and financial assistance, including documentation, reporting and budgeting support.
  • Coordinate operations and travel logistics for staff and missions.
  • Manage administrative and logistics tasks for events and meetings.
  • Contribute to knowledge management, communication and digital tools usage.
  • Offer flexible emergency support as needed.

Required profile

  • Completed secondary education.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant administrative or clerical experience.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish.
  • Knowledge of an additional UN official language is desirable.
