Principal Engineer – AI and Full Stack

About the role

Scispot is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead AI and full‑stack development for its Lab Operating System. You will drive research, prototype new features, and bring AI‑enabled tools to market, helping biotech labs automate data capture, analysis, and workflow orchestration.

Key responsibilities

• Lead R&D of AI‑powered modules for data capture, visualization, and analysis in life‑science labs.
• Prototype and test new features with pilot customers to validate feasibility and market fit.
• Design and scale full‑stack architectures that integrate lab instruments, APIs, and cloud platforms.
• Conduct technical and market analysis to maximize adoption of AI‑driven lab tools.
• Deliver measurable outcomes such as reduced manual data entry and increased workflow automation.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and communication abilities to guide cross‑functional teams.
• Experience delivering enterprise‑grade software in fast‑moving, scientific or biotech environments.
• Proven track record of building scalable, secure cloud services.
