Portfolio Management Officer / Senior Associate – Corporates

About the role

IDB Invest, the private‑sector arm of the Inter‑American Development Bank, is seeking a Portfolio Management Officer or Senior Associate to manage a portfolio of guarantees and non‑sovereign loans to corporate entities and special purpose vehicles across the Andean region.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor a portfolio of corporate loans and guarantees, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• Conduct periodic and ad‑hoc financial analysis of counterparties, including review of financial statements and projections.
• Prepare risk‑rating proposals, supervision reports, and recommendations for risk mitigation.
• Identify contractual breaches and operational risks, propose corrective actions, and manage identified risks.
• Maintain close relationships with borrowers and act as the primary point of contact for assigned transactions.
• Collaborate with the division to identify new investment opportunities with existing clients.

Required profile

• Experience in corporate finance, loan monitoring, or credit risk analysis.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
