Payment Switch Production Support Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Payment Switch Production Support Engineer to ensure the high‑availability and performance of our transaction processing platforms across the LATAM region. The role combines deep technical and functional expertise in payment switching systems with proactive incident handling to keep payment flows seamless.

Key responsibilities

• Support end‑to‑end payment transaction processing across card, ATM, POS and digital payment switching platforms.
• Monitor real‑time transaction flows, detect and resolve failures, reversals and settlement issues.
• Handle L1/L2 incidents, perform root‑cause analysis and work with cross‑functional teams to implement fixes.
• Oversee transaction monitoring, message format validation (ISO 8583/ISO 20022) and reconciliation with host systems and external networks such as Visa, Mastercard and AMEX.
• Participate in release, patch and configuration deployments, including integration testing and rollback procedures.
• Coordinate with banks, payment networks and internal stakeholders, providing timely updates on incidents and system health.
• Identify automation opportunities for monitoring, alerting and reconciliation, and drive continuous improvement of throughput and reliability.

Required profile

• 8–12 years of experience in payments or transaction switching domain.
• Strong understanding of payment switch operations, incident and problem management.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with technical and business partners.
