Mecánico automotriz – mantenimiento de maquinaria industrial

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our ECUADEPOT team in Quito. You will be responsible for the daily maintenance of production machinery, ensuring optimal performance and minimizing downtime.

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and part replacements on industrial equipment.
• Carry out corrective repairs when breakdowns occur.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify incidents and suggest technical improvements.
• Plan and execute preventive maintenance to extend equipment lifespan.
• Follow industrial safety protocols while working with heavy machinery.

Required profile

• Minimum secondary education.
• At least 1 year of experience in industrial machinery maintenance.
• Technical training in industrial mechanics or a related field.
• Ability to work in a team, communicate effectively, and adopt a proactive improvement mindset.

Required skills

• General maintenance and repair of industrial machinery.
• Preventive maintenance planning.
• Rapid fault diagnosis and root‑cause analysis.
• Use of manual and electric workshop tools.
• Basic knowledge of industrial electricity.
• Operation of automotive diagnostic scanners.
