Maintenance Supervisor – The Shorebird

About the role

We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the day‑to‑day upkeep of The Shorebird community. Reporting to the Property Manager, you will ensure a safe, well‑maintained environment for residents and coordinate all maintenance activities.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate emergency status, property conditions, and safety issues promptly to the Property Manager.
• Train, supervise, and equip maintenance staff to perform their duties effectively.
• Follow budgetary guidelines, approve inventory purchases, and adhere to purchasing procedures.
• Maintain a safe working environment and educate employees on safety procedures.
• Develop and implement hurricane preparedness and preventative maintenance programs.
• Manage inventory of parts, supplies, and materials.
• Monitor service contractors and building repair teams.
• Assist with bid solicitation, proposal review, and recommendations.
• Conduct daily walk‑throughs to ensure aesthetic standards and functional equipment.
• Install, restore, and troubleshoot electrical systems and components of industrial machinery.
• Maintain mechanical equipment such as water heaters, HVAC systems, transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures.
• Replace damaged wiring, cables, relays, switches, and other electrical components.
• Adjust and monitor building control systems for air conditioning, boilers, and other utilities.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• At least three (3) years of supervisory experience in property or facilities maintenance.
• Ability to train staff, manage budgets, and coordinate contractors.
