Luxury Butler – Guest Relations (Cruise Ship)

About the role

The Butler is the primary liaison between guests and all hotel and marine departments on board, delivering a seamless, premium in‑suite experience. Working within the Guest Relations team, the Butler anticipates and fulfills every guest need, ensuring each stay is exceptional and memorable.

Key responsibilities

• Welcome and orient Retreat guests, explaining suite features, amenities, ship offerings, ports of call and exclusive privileges.
• Serve as the personal point of contact and advocate for each guest, coordinating inter‑departmental communication.
• Conduct taste‑testing and quality checks of all services and food items before guest consumption.
• Champion high standards, continuously raising the quality of the Retreat program.
• Collaborate with other Retreat areas to share guest preferences and enhance the overall experience across all venues.

Required profile

• Minimum two years of guest‑facing service experience in a luxury environment.
• Fluent, clear and courteous English communication, both spoken and written.
• Professional, well‑groomed appearance with a warm, welcoming demeanor.
• Strong emotional intelligence, resourceful problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills.
• Working knowledge of food and beverage service and the ability to speak confidently about menu items.
