About the role
Pacific International Lines (PIL) is seeking a detail‑oriented Import & Export Documentation Coordinator to support cargo movements at its Guayaquil hub. The role ensures accurate documentation, timely communication with customs and terminals, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Manage all documentation for export and import processes, including manifests, corrections, retransmissions, and cargo releases.
- Coordinate with ports, warehouses, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs authorities, and shared service centers.
- Verify that customs references are submitted before cut‑off dates and that required information is gathered.
- Ensure timely invoicing of charges and adherence to invoicing procedures.
- Monitor vessel closures, manifest completion, and revenue outstanding, communicating with relevant parties to resolve exceptions.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of export and import customs requirements and ensure compliance.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in International Business, Logistics, or a related field.
- Experience in customer service within the shipping or logistics industry, preferably with sea‑shipping documentation.
- Familiarity with customs procedures and documentation standards.
Required skills
- LMS (Logistics Management System) usage.
