ICT and Security Assistant (6-month contract)

About the role

The ICT and Security Assistant will support UN Women’s Country Office in Quito by delivering day‑to‑day technical assistance, maintaining ICT equipment and ensuring basic information security. Working under the Chief of ICT and the Operations Associate, the role contributes to the implementation of ICT strategies and the protection of information assets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑level technical support to staff, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Install, configure, and maintain ICT equipment, peripherals, operating systems and applications.
• Support corporate and cloud platforms, notably Microsoft 365.
• Monitor network performance, diagnose connectivity problems and coordinate with vendors for issue resolution.
• Maintain an up‑to‑date inventory of ICT assets, licenses and supplies, and assist with procurement specifications.
• Apply basic security measures and ensure compliance with UN Women’s ICT standards.

Required profile

• Ability to deliver first‑level technical support in a fast‑paced environment.
• Experience with installation, configuration and maintenance of ICT hardware and software.
• Familiarity with network monitoring and basic information security practices.
• Strong client‑oriented attitude and ability to work under supervision.
