Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the day‑to‑day operations of all housekeeping areas on board, ensuring that guest rooms, public spaces, crew zones and pool areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. Reporting to the Assistant Housekeeping Manager and Housekeeping Manager, the role combines hands‑on supervision with strong leadership to drive exceptional service.

Key responsibilities

• Manage operational activities across accommodation, pool, public and crew areas.
• Support the Assistant and Housekeeping Managers in achieving division objectives.
• Maintain cleaning standards, safety protocols, and proper use of equipment.
• Lead, coach and schedule a team of at least 10 housekeeping staff.
• Monitor inventory, chemical handling, and personal protective equipment compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a large 4‑ or 5‑star hotel (500+ rooms), cruise line, or comparable hospitality setting.
• Proven ability to supervise a team of at least 10 employees.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical safety, and job‑safety analysis.
• Good command of English; additional languages such as Spanish or French are a plus.

Required skills

• Computer literacy – Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Familiarity with hospitality software (SQM, OCIMS, Fidelio, LGA, Medallia, Kronos).
