Guest Service Officer

About the role

The Guest Service Officer provides friendly, passionate, and committed support to guests aboard the vessel. You will actively listen to guest concerns, resolve issues promptly, and ensure a high level of satisfaction throughout their stay.

Key responsibilities

• Assist guests with inquiries, complaints, and special requests.
• Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of US currency and exchange rates.
• Operate basic office equipment such as telephones, computers, and copy machines.
• Communicate effectively with guests, department heads, and shipboard staff to negotiate resolutions.
• Maintain a professional and positive demeanor, contributing to a pleasant onboard atmosphere.

Required profile

• Minimum one year of experience in a customer‑contact role within the hotel or related hospitality industry.
• One year of cash‑handling experience with knowledge of US currency.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to work onboard for 5‑6 months.
• Clear spoken and written English; additional languages (e.g., Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish) are a plus.
