General Manager – Automotive Distribution

About the role

Inchcape Ecuador is seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead its automotive distribution business in Quito. This hybrid, permanent position will drive the execution of Inchcape’s global strategy, focusing on low‑carbon, sustainable growth while delivering exceptional experiences for customers, partners, and colleagues.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement business plans, strategies, and policies to increase profitability, market share, and growth.
• Lead the market strategy for Ecuador, aligning with Inchcape’s global objectives and making decisions that accelerate business expansion.
• Drive customer‑experience initiatives to improve reputation scores and overall performance.
• Champion employee‑experience programs to strengthen workplace culture and boost engagement survey results.
• Identify and evaluate new growth and investment opportunities, including new OEM partnerships.
• Manage OEM relationships, negotiate contracts, and explore additional OEM opportunities.
• Interpret financial indicators, summarize performance data, and guide strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations to mitigate risk and protect the company’s reputation.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Business or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience leading a business unit with full P&L responsibility.
• Proven track record in scaling businesses or leading market expansion.
• Strong commercial and business‑development focus.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.
