Fracturing Engineer – Production Enhancement (Ecuador)

About the role

Halliburton is seeking a Fracturing Engineer to join its Production Enhancement team in Ecuador. The role is field‑based and focuses on planning, executing, and analyzing hydraulic fracturing and acid treatments to optimize well performance.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and analysis for frac and acid treatments using subsurface, rock mechanics, and fluid mechanics knowledge.
• Analyze pressure data on‑site, execute diagnostic pumping techniques, and interpret results.
• Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external customers, managing expectations and implementing on‑site changes.
• Collaborate with operations and Business Development teams to ensure efficient job execution.
• Verify equipment and material readiness, conduct pre‑job fluid testing, and produce technical documentation.
• Validate end‑of‑job packets and support rollout of new surface and subsurface technologies.
• Assist in the development of Associate Technical Professionals.

Required profile

• Undergraduate degree in a STEM discipline (Chemical, Petroleum, or related engineering).
• At least 4 years of field experience as a Fracturing Engineer in hydraulic fracturing operations.
• Proven experience preparing fracturing proposals for clients.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
