Elixir Backend Engineer – Remote (Latin America)

About the role

FullStack is looking for an experienced Elixir Backend Engineer to join client teams on remote, project‑based work across Latin America. You will work side‑by‑side with designers and engineers, building robust APIs and backend services that power mobile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Elixir/Phoenix APIs for production systems.
• Integrate third‑party services and ensure reliable connectivity.
• Work with legacy codebases to improve reliability and maintainability.
• Implement automated tests and uphold code quality standards.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Docker and modern tooling.
• Collaborate in Agile/Scrum teams and contribute to shared libraries as needed.

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proven production experience with Elixir and the Phoenix framework.
• Advanced English communication skills.
• Completed a four‑year college degree.
• Experience building backend services for mobile (React Native) applications.
