Electrical Design Engineer – Transmission Lines

About the role

MVCOENG is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its multidisciplinary team on a 138 kV high‑voltage transmission line project. You will be responsible for the electrical design of overhead lines, grounding systems, and related documentation while collaborating closely with civil, structural, geotechnical and BIM engineers.

Key responsibilities

• Design overhead transmission lines for high‑voltage power systems (≥138 kV).
• Perform engineering calculations and develop grounding and lightning‑protection systems for transmission towers.
• Select and specify insulators, hardware assemblies, fittings, and accessories.
• Support insulation coordination studies and prepare technical reports, specifications, and design documentation.
• Review engineering drawings, ensure compliance with standards, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in technical meetings and engineering reviews.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in transmission line engineering.
• Proven experience designing overhead lines (69 kV, 115 kV, 138 kV or higher) and tower grounding systems.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
