About the role

We are looking for a dedicated English teacher to join the Science department of a private educational institution in Quito. The role involves planning, delivering and assessing English language instruction across various educational levels, fostering communicative competence in listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement innovative methodological strategies that promote meaningful English learning.
• Adapt curriculum content to the needs and characteristics of students in basic and secondary education.
• Organize academic activities, interdisciplinary projects, cultural events and language immersion experiences.
• Maintain continuous communication with students, families and academic authorities, monitoring performance and supporting improvement.
• Participate in the development, monitoring and evaluation of curricular plans, pedagogical adaptations and institutional projects related to English.
• Document educational processes, including evaluations, academic reports and learning evidence.

Required profile

• University degree in Foreign Languages, Language Pedagogy, English Teaching, Education with an English focus or related fields.
• Minimum three years of experience teaching English, preferably at basic and secondary levels.
• Advanced proficiency in English, both oral and written.
• Strong communication, pedagogical leadership, creativity, organization and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to plan and coordinate academic projects and student support strategies.

Required skills

• Familiarity with active language‑teaching methodologies.
• Use of educational technology tools and virtual learning platforms.
• Knowledge of current educational regulations, assessment processes and inclusion strategies.
