Director of Translational Immuno-Oncology

About the role

The organization is looking for a hands‑on scientific leader to drive early translational validation in immuno‑oncology. The Director will shape feasibility studies and lead efforts to secure Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) and Department of Defense (DoD) funding.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute translational validation experiments for novel immuno‑oncology candidates.
• Develop and manage feasibility study plans that align with SBIR and DoD program requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate pre‑clinical data into early development pipelines.
• Prepare grant proposals, budgets, and technical reports for external funding agencies.
• Mentor junior scientists and oversee laboratory operations related to translational research.

Required profile

• Ph.D. or equivalent experience in immunology, oncology, or a related biomedical field.
• Proven track record of leading translational projects from concept to early validation.
• Experience serving as a Principal Investigator on SBIR, DoD, or similar government‑funded programs.
• Strong publication record and ability to communicate scientific findings to diverse audiences.
