Customer Service Representative – Liner (Ecuador)

About the role

Inchcape Shipping Services is looking for a proactive Customer Service Representative to support its liner operations in Ecuador. You will act as the main point of contact between principals, cargo receivers and internal teams, ensuring smooth documentation and cargo release processes.

Key responsibilities

• Dispatch arrival notices promptly and keep all stakeholders informed.
• Liaise with principals and cargo receivers to verify conditions for cargo release.
• Monitor group email inbox, respond to queries and coordinate time‑sensitive releases.
• Assist cargo receivers with customs clearance matters.
• Follow principal procedures, policies and provide accurate ETA and cargo status updates.
• Coordinate with terminals and stevedores to ensure efficient cargo handling.

Required profile

• Foundational knowledge of documentation, sales and container/shipping line operations.
• Advanced verbal, written and listening communication skills.
• Bilingual ability in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in customs, shipping, logistics or related fields.
• Experience in a port agency or complex international organization is a plus.
