Customer Experience Consultant

About the role

Maersk is seeking a Customer Experience Consultant to manage the end‑to‑end banana export process for its clients in Guayaquil. The role will act as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring smooth operational execution from order receipt to final delivery while delivering a high‑quality service experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete banana export process for an assigned customer portfolio, from order receipt through final delivery.
• Serve as the main contact for assigned accounts, building long‑term relationships and ensuring exceptional service.
• Coordinate daily with customers, shipping lines, transport providers, port terminals, agents, suppliers, and internal teams to maintain operational continuity.
• Monitor shipment status, identify deviations, and provide timely solutions to minimise impacts.
• Identify customer needs, propose solutions aligned with operational and business requirements, and drive cross‑selling opportunities.
• Handle shipment orders, consolidation planning, and documentation compliance.
• Analyse performance indicators (KPIs) and lead continuous‑improvement actions.
• Conduct service reviews with customers and promote process‑improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in Foreign Trade, International Business, Logistics, Business Administration or related fields.
• Experience in customer experience, customer service or export operations within the logistics industry.
• Specific experience managing banana exports or working with banana‑exporting companies.
• Proven ability to manage a customer portfolio and coordinate with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
