Coordinador de Operaciones Receptivo Ecuador

About the role

The Coordinador de Operaciones Receptivo Ecuador is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Quito. The role ensures smooth day‑to‑day inbound travel operations for visitors traveling to Ecuador, the Galápagos Islands and mainland itineraries.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate bookings, reservations and travel documentation for inbound tours and cruises.
• Confirm services with local suppliers, guides and hotels, and negotiate rates.
• Prepare itinerary templates, build tariff guides and manage last‑minute changes.
• Monitor operational schedules, resolve issues and maintain accurate records.
• Provide customer service before and during trips, responding to the needs of the reservations and sales teams.
• Work closely with sales, logistics and administrative teams to uphold quality and ethical standards.
• Supervise a team of three staff members handling client files.

Required profile

• Strong operations management experience, including service coordination, scheduling and supplier follow‑up.
• In‑depth knowledge of Ecuador tourism geography.
• Education in tourism and experience using Tourplan or similar reservation software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Spanish; English proficiency is a plus.
• Proven customer‑service, administrative and analytical abilities.
• Experience in tourism, hospitality or destination‑management operations in Ecuador or the Galápagos.
• High attention to detail and ability to work under time pressure.
