Temporary 1st Grade Teacher (Maternity Replacement)

About the role

This is a temporary, maternity‑cover position for a 1st Grade Teacher at Colegio Menor Quito, an international school within the Nord Anglia Education network. The successful candidate will join a vibrant, English‑immersion environment and ensure continuity of learning for young learners during the leave period.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and assess engaging 1st‑grade lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and English‑immersion approach.
• Maintain a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom atmosphere.
• Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to parents and senior staff.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers and support staff to uphold school policies, especially safeguarding procedures.
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school events.

Required profile

• Qualified teacher with certification to teach primary education.
• Experience teaching young learners, preferably in an international or bilingual setting.
• Fluency in English; Spanish proficiency is an advantage.
• Commitment to the school’s values of goodness, beauty and truth and to inclusive education.
• Willingness to undergo national and international vetting and background checks.
