Técnico/a mecánico de generación

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to join the Power Generation Plant team. The role involves planning, executing and supervising preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance to ensure reliable plant operation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and carry out preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance programs for all generation plant equipment.
• Diagnose equipment failures promptly and implement effective solutions.
• Manage spare‑part, material and tool requirements for maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with industrial safety, environmental and quality procedures during all work.
• Support the analysis and monitoring of maintenance KPIs related to equipment availability and reliability.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial, Automotive engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience performing mechanical maintenance in power‑generation plants.
• Hands‑on experience with auxiliary equipment such as oil and crude separators, air compressors and rotating machinery.
• Proficiency in using SAP for maintenance management.
• Advanced knowledge of metrology applied to mechanical components of Wärtsilä generator sets.
