Systems Engineer (Rust) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a Systems Engineer specialized in Rust to design and build high‑performance, foundational software components for performance‑critical and networking‑heavy applications. You will work remotely with a global team of top‑tier engineers, delivering robust backend services and secure communication layers.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement performance‑critical systems software using Rust’s ownership and borrowing model.
• Build and maintain backend services with frameworks such as Actix or Axum.
• Optimize low‑level code for memory safety and execution speed without a garbage collector.
• Develop secure communication layers using gRPC or JSON‑RPC.
• Implement thread‑safe concurrency and async patterns for high‑throughput processing.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure system reliability and efficient resource utilization across AWS deployments.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or Backend Development.
• Proven expertise in Rust programming with a focus on memory safety and high‑performance applications.
• Proficiency with asynchronous patterns and frameworks such as Actix or Axum.
• Strong experience building backend services with PostgreSQL and gRPC or JSON‑RPC.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS deployment and cloud‑native infrastructure.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
