Staff Backend Engineer – Node.js & TypeScript (Remote)

About the role

Join BairesDev as a Staff Backend Engineer focused on Node.js and TypeScript. You will shape the architecture of critical data infrastructure, leading complex technical initiatives that move data seamlessly across platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architectural decisions for multi‑tenant data flows and complex data‑moving projects.
• Design and implement advanced data pipelines and graph‑based data structures.
• Define and execute an observability strategy for distributed systems.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams on best practices for data architecture and interoperability.

Required profile

• 12+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Deep understanding of data structures, algorithms, graph traversal, hashing, recursion, and time‑complexity analysis.
• Proven experience building data pipelines and ensuring API/service interoperability.
• Hands‑on experience with Redis, message queues (SQS/SNS, Kafka, RabbitMQ), and observability tools (Datadog, Scalar, Axiom).
• Experience with multi‑tenant data architecture and serverless functions such as AWS Lambda.
• Advanced English communication skills.
