Staff Accountant – Crypto & Digital Assets

About the role

Veta Virtual is seeking a detail‑oriented Staff Accountant to join a high‑growth fintech client operating one of the world’s largest crypto kiosk networks. This fully remote position blends traditional accounting responsibilities with specialized digital‑asset accounting, supporting monthly close, financial reporting, and blockchain‑based reconciliations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain monthly roll‑forwards for BTC, ETH, LTC and other digital assets.
• Reconcile wallet balances to blockchain data and internal sub‑ledgers, resolving exceptions.
• Calculate fair market value (FMV) and perform remeasurements for crypto holdings.
• Process crypto donations, rewards, and hardware‑wallet activity, including Trezor and cold storage.
• Post month‑end journal entries, perform balance‑sheet reconciliations, flux analysis and variance explanations.
• Maintain fixed‑asset registers, depreciation schedules, and assist with audit support packages.
• Develop spreadsheet reports, verify financial information and suggest process improvements.
• Review accounting policies, contribute to SOP development and support cross‑functional teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience with journal entries, reconciliations and month‑end close.
• Working knowledge of cryptocurrency and blockchain fundamentals.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and general financial accounting principles.
