About the role

Globant is looking for a Senior DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to join its digital transformation team. The role is remote, based in Ecuador, and focuses on building reliable, scalable cloud solutions for global clients.

Key responsibilities

Define and track SLAs, SLOs, and SLIs for critical services.
Respond to incidents, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive post‑mortem improvements.
Implement observability using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, New Relic, Datadog, and the ELK stack.
Design, deploy, and manage containerized workloads on Kubernetes platforms (EKS, GKE, AKS, OpenShift) and Docker.
Automate infrastructure with Terraform and CloudFormation.
Maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Argo CD, and Azure DevOps.
Configure and optimize HTTP services (Apache, NGINX, Varnish, ALB, CDN).
Develop scripts and services in Python, Go, JavaScript, and Bash.
Work with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis/Valkey, Cassandra, Memcached) databases.
Apply cloud security best practices and ensure robust networking design.

Required profile

Fluent English (B2 Upper‑Intermediate) and strong communication skills.
Proven experience in Site Reliability Engineering or similar DevOps roles.
Commitment to operational excellence and reliability at scale.
Solid understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and networking concepts.
