Senior Bookkeeper (Remote)

About the role

TeamFicient is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Bookkeeper to lead its remote bookkeeping team. The role involves managing day‑to‑day financial operations, ensuring accurate records, and serving as the primary client contact for financial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain general ledgers, journals, and financial transactions with precision.
• Perform monthly bank, credit‑card, and account reconciliations.
• Process payroll on schedule and manage accounts payable/receivable.
• Support month‑end and year‑end closing processes and prepare audit‑ready documentation.
• Produce timely financial reports and summaries for clients.
• Identify discrepancies, investigate issues, and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate, assign, and review work of the accounting staff to meet deadlines and quality standards.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a senior‑level bookkeeper or accounting supervisor.
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks or a comparable accounting software platform.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English to support diverse client bases.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor a bookkeeping team.
• High level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
