Remote Medical Interpreter – OPI & VRI (English & Target Language)

About the role

We are looking for qualified Medical Interpreters to provide over‑the‑phone (OPI) and video remote (VRI) interpretation services. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from any location with a reliable home broadband connection.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver accurate, real‑time medical interpretation for patients and healthcare providers via phone or video platforms.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA‑type privacy standards.
• Ensure clear communication between English‑speaking clinicians and speakers of the target language.
• Document interpretation sessions as required by the service provider.

Required profile

• Fluency in English and one of the target languages (Spanish, Mandarin, Cantonese, Japanese, Korean) at C1‑C2 level.
• Professional demeanor and ability to handle sensitive medical information.
• Reliable high‑speed wired broadband connection (no 4G/5G).

Required skills

• Proficiency with a PC or laptop running Windows 10 or newer, equipped with at least 8 GB RAM.
• Use of a USB noise‑cancelling headset and HD webcam for clear audio/video quality.
