Junior Laboratory Technician

About the role

We are looking for a Junior Laboratory Technician to support daily laboratory operations, ensuring a smooth workflow and high‑quality results. The role combines inventory management, sample logistics, analytical testing, and equipment maintenance in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Manage laboratory supplies: monitor inventory, place orders, and maintain optimal stock levels.
• Perform administrative duties that keep the lab running efficiently.
• Maintain clean, safe, and compliant laboratory conditions, including waste management.
• Handle sample logistics: retrieve, transport, store, and track samples to avoid testing delays.
• Receive and prepare product samples, conduct dosing, and execute standard analyses such as moisture, composition, and protein content.
• Document test results, report defects, and register data in quality or reporting systems.
• Ensure all testing follows SOPs and standards like ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.
• Set up, calibrate, and perform first‑line maintenance on laboratory instruments.
• Identify maintenance needs and communicate them to supervisors.
• Assist with any additional tasks as directed.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or student in Chemistry, Biology, Food Science, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to laboratory safety.
• Ability to follow documented procedures and maintain accurate records.
• Good organizational skills for managing supplies and sample flow.
