Instrument and Electrical Systems Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Instrument and Electrical Systems Engineer to support the design, fabrication, installation, and start‑up of industrial automation projects. The role works closely with the E&I department to deliver reliable control systems, PLC and HMI solutions, and comprehensive documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Develop engineering calculations, component selections, and system designs for major industrial installations.
• Create PLC and control‑panel schematics, heat‑load calculations, conductor and fuse ratings, and conduit/cable schedules.
• Produce design and purchase specifications for PLCs, battery‑backup/solar UPS systems, and control‑system servers/workstations.
• Guide the drafting team on panel layouts, instrument wiring, motor‑control schematics, and electrical wiring diagrams.
• Support commissioning, system function testing, and start‑up activities on site.

Required profile

• B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related technology.
• Proficiency with MS Office; AutoCAD experience is a plus.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.

Required skills

• Electrical engineering calculations (circuit resistance, fuse sizing, heat dissipation, ventilation).
• Knowledge of NEC, especially hazardous‑area design.
• PLC, HMI and DCS programming.
• Creation and review of UL‑508A, UL‑1203, UL‑698A panel standards.
• Production of logic drawings, C&E drawings, and control narratives.
