About the role

We are looking for an AI Automation Engineer to design and implement AI‑driven automation solutions that increase efficiency and create business value. The role sits within Kruger’s Technology team and will directly influence operational optimisation, solution scalability and digital transformation.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automation workflows using iPaaS tools and Python scripts, ensuring efficient and scalable solutions.
• Integrate generative AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI LLMs) into business processes to enhance decision‑making and productivity.
• Continuously propose and apply improvements to existing processes, making them simpler and more automated.
• Collaborate with technical and business teams to deliver high‑impact solutions.
• Document and optimise developed solutions, adhering to best practices and maintainability standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Systems, Artificial Intelligence or related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in development, automation or technology integrations.
• Intermediate English for technical reading and documentation.
• Analytical mindset, proactive attitude and ability to work autonomously and in teams.

Required skills

• Python (intermediate/advanced)
• SQL (intermediate)
• Git version control
• REST API consumption and integration
• iPaaS tools such as Make, Zapier or Power Automate
• Experience with generative AI APIs (e.g., OpenAI)
