Finance Director (Strategic Finance Lead)

About the role

Devsu is seeking a Finance Director based in Ecuador to act as a senior financial leader and strategic partner to the executive team. This role goes beyond traditional accounting, focusing on financial visibility, planning, and decision support across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process for multiple entities and prepare balance sheet, P&L, and cash‑flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with Ecuadorian accounting, tax and labor regulations and coordinate U.S. GAAP reporting.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and long‑term financial planning, building models to support growth decisions.
• Provide profitability, cost‑structure and cash‑flow insights to guide pricing, expansion and efficiency initiatives.
• Design and implement cost‑control frameworks, improve reporting clarity and internal controls through automation and AI.
• Collaborate with external accountants, auditors and tax advisors in both Ecuador and the United States.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• 4‑6+ years of progressive finance/accounting experience, including multi‑entity or international operations.
• Strong knowledge of Ecuadorian accounting and tax regulations and working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
• Proven experience in FP&A, financial modeling and business analysis.
• Fluent in Spanish and English.
