About the role

Halliburton is seeking an Electronic Technician I to join its maintenance team in Francisco de Orellana, Ecuador. The role focuses on preventive and corrective maintenance of electronic and electrical equipment supporting oil‑field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on a variety of electronic/electrical equipment.
• Execute functional tests to verify equipment operability after maintenance.
• Interpret and work from electronic schematics, diagrams and technical drawings.
• Use Halliburton‑specific software and tools to record data accurately in the Halliburton Management System (HMS).
• Assist colleagues as directed and ensure all tasks are carried out safely and efficiently.

Required profile

• Completed degree or technology program in Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, Electromechanical or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of electronic/electrical equipment.
• Experience with PLCs, instrumentation or related areas.
• Intermediate level of English.
• Willingness to work locally in Francisco de Orellana.

Required skills

• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Instrumentation knowledge.
• Advanced computer skills for data entry and software use.
• Ability to read and interpret electronic schematics and diagrams.
