Chemical Laboratory Manager

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Chemical Laboratory Manager to lead our Chemical Laboratory and Quality Control (QC) support functions. You will ensure that all laboratory activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance while driving continuous improvement across the value chain.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the Chemical Laboratory and QC support areas, overseeing daily operations and resource planning.
• Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), corporate procedures, and applicable regulations.
• Prioritize testing, review, and release of incoming materials, in‑process controls, finished products, and stability samples.
• Approve test methods, specifications, validation protocols, and related reports.
• Review and sign off Certificates of Analysis and batch release documentation.
• Develop and manage laboratory budgets, KPIs, and performance metrics.
• Maintain laboratory safety standards and conduct regular EHS reviews.
• Coach, develop, and motivate a high‑performing team.
• Oversee QC support activities such as equipment procurement, inventory, and CSV management.
• Handle quality incidents (OOS, events, deviations, CAPA, PQR, etc.).

Required profile

• Professional degree in Pharmaceutical Chemistry or a related field.
• Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Minimum 5 years experience in pharmaceutical QC and at least 5 years in supervisory roles.
• Proven experience in process improvement and optimization.
• Strong analytical and decision‑making abilities.

Required skills

• QC analysis of raw materials and pharmaceutical products.
• In‑depth knowledge of GMP/GLP guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• QC equipment management and CSV oversight.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to organize activities and manage resources effectively.
