About the role
The Business Office Assistant supports the smooth operation of the facility by handling a variety of administrative, clerical, and basic accounting tasks. Reporting to the Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Business Office Manager, this role ensures that office procedures follow established policies and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to organizational policies.
- Organize, plan, and direct daily administrative activities, including filing and minute‑taking.
- Perform clerical and accounting functions such as cash receipts and data entry.
- Assist with human‑resources and payroll tasks as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and other administrative studies.
- Ensure ergonomics and safety policies are followed to prevent workplace injuries.
- Monitor and replenish office supplies and equipment.
- Protect resident health information and report any unauthorized disclosures.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business documents, regulations, and technical procedures.
- Strong written communication skills for reports, correspondence, and manuals.
- Capability to present information clearly to managers and staff.
- Mathematical proficiency with fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions.
- Problem‑solving ability in situations with limited standardization.
