Business Development Manager (Sports Medicine) – Ecuador

About the role

The Business Development Manager (Sports Medicine) will drive the growth of a global medical device portfolio across Ecuador, acting as the bridge between the product range, commercial partners and the clinical community. Reporting to the regional commercial strategy, the role supports clinicians, distributors and internal teams to ensure solutions are understood, positioned and adopted.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the regional product expert, maintaining in‑depth knowledge of product features, clinical applications and supporting evidence.
• Monitor competitive activity and market trends to inform pricing strategy and commercial decisions.
• Support distributor partners in developing and executing go‑to‑market strategies, delivering product training and technical presentations.
• Act as first point of contact for complex clinical or technical enquiries.
• Build and maintain trust‑based relationships with distributors, partners and end‑user clinicians, representing the organisation as a brand ambassador.
• Collaborate with the Business Development Manager on regional sales planning, providing technical and clinical support throughout the sales cycle.
• Prepare technical documentation and tender responses.
• Work with Marketing to develop sales tools and campaigns, and with Product Management to relay field insights for product development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Sciences, Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years’ experience in a product specialist, clinical support or similar role within sports medicine.
• Proven ability to communicate complex technical or clinical information clearly.
