AP & Sales Tax Analyst

About the role

We are seeking an AP & Sales Tax Analyst to join our growing finance team in Quito. The role supports day‑to‑day accounts payable operations and multi‑state U.S. sales tax compliance for a diverse client portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, review, and record invoices using Bill.com, Beanworks, QuickBooks, and Odoo.
• Track invoice approvals and follow up with stakeholders to ensure timely processing.
• Prepare AP aging reports to aid payment scheduling and cash‑flow management.
• Prepare, review, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual U.S. sales and use tax returns.
• Coordinate electronic tax payments to meet state and local deadlines.
• Maintain databases tracking filing statuses, nexus thresholds, and jurisdiction‑specific requirements.
• Monitor sales volumes and transaction counts to identify economic nexus changes.
• Research and respond to tax notices, inquiries, and penalty assessments.
• Stay current on tax regulation changes and support compliance initiatives.

Required profile

• Fluency in English (written and spoken).
• Background in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in accounts payable, accounting, tax, or finance roles.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow established processes.
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to continuously learn.
