About the role

Join a global tech leader as an AI‑first Backend Engineer. You will combine your Node.js expertise with cutting‑edge AI coding assistants to design, build, and ship backend solutions faster and smarter.

Key responsibilities

• Use AI tools to decompose high‑level tickets into detailed implementation plans.
• Guide AI assistants (e.g., Cursor, Claude, Copilot) to generate code, then refine, debug, and complete the solution.
• Apply strong prompt‑engineering techniques to ensure clear, maintainable AI output.
• Debug and optimise applications with focus on memory management, performance, and logging.
• Develop backend services using Node.js and Express.js.
• Deploy and maintain services in heavily containerised environments (Docker).

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Advanced proficiency in English.
• Hands‑on experience with AI coding assistants integrated into the IDE.
• Proven ability to work remotely and deliver high‑quality code.
