Accountant – Vacation Rental Experience Industry

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented, proactive accountant to join our team and support a portfolio of clients in the vacation‑rental and hospitality sectors. You will work remotely alongside a collaborative group of finance professionals, delivering high‑quality reporting and accounting support.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting for multiple clients, including accounts payable/receivable, bank and credit‑card reconciliations, and month‑end close.
• Prepare, review, and analyze monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets, and cash‑flow forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and relevant regulations, addressing discrepancies proactively.
• Perform job costing, project accounting, and budget‑to‑actual analysis as needed.
• Support tax compliance by preparing documentation, collaborating with external tax advisors, and assisting with audit requests.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with client stakeholders and internal teams, providing insights to improve financial operations.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

Required profile

• 3+ years of accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
• Fluent English (B2+) and comfortable communicating with high‑profile clients.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with a growth mindset.
• Availability 9 AM–5 PM EST, Monday to Friday, working as an independent contractor.
