About the role

PUERTOMAR is seeking a corporate lawyer to join its legal team in Manta, Ecuador. The professional will provide strategic legal advice and support the company’s operations across multiple areas.

Key responsibilities

• Advise internal departments on labor, corporate, tax, civil and traffic matters.
• Represent the company in hearings, inspections, mediations, administrative procedures and legal processes.
• Monitor requirements from regulatory bodies and manage legal contingencies.
• Identify legal risks and propose preventive actions.
• Ensure compliance with current legislation and keep corporate legal documentation up‑to‑date.
• Coordinate with external counsel and public entities when needed.

Required profile

• Law degree (third‑level).
• 2‑4 years of experience in corporate legal functions or law firms.
• Strong knowledge of legal regulations applicable to businesses.
• Experience handling administrative and judicial processes and drafting legal documents.
• Analytical ability, interpretation of regulations and legal writing skills.
• Own vehicle and willingness to travel.
• Availability to work onsite in Jaramijó.
