Sustainability Assistant (Ecuador)

About the role

The Sustainability Assistant will support the MEV system and the overall sustainability program in Ecuador. Working closely with the Sustainability Manager, you will help implement, monitor and verify sustainability initiatives, manage data, and assist in field activities.

Key responsibilities

• Collect, clean and validate field data, including surveys, farmer lists and program records.
• Support the operation of the MEV system and prepare internal and external reports on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Assist in tracking indicators, evidence and documentation required for client certifications and audits.
• Participate in field missions to verify polygons, review coordinates and ensure geospatial data quality.
• Coordinate daily with suppliers and technical teams, providing logistical and technical support for trainings, workshops and meetings.
• Help organize activities, schedules and reports for the Sustainability Manager and facilitate cross‑functional coordination.
• Contribute to the identification and strengthening of new sustainable suppliers and share knowledge with other sustainability teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or a related field.
• Basic understanding of geographic information systems.
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Valid Type B driver’s license.
• Familiarity with cocoa sustainability standards such as Rainforest Alliance or Fair Trade is a plus.
