IT Operations Engineer – 6‑Month Contract

About the role

Applaudo is looking for an experienced IT Operations Engineer to join the team on a 6‑month contract. You will own end‑to‑end management of the enterprise IT environment, ensuring reliability, security, and rapid response to incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including identity governance, conditional access, security groups and SSO provisioning.
• Manage endpoint lifecycle with Microsoft Intune – device compliance, MDM enrollment, OS patching and hardware coordination.
• Monitor and remediate vulnerabilities using Microsoft Defender.
• Operate enterprise VPN (NordLayer or equivalent) and enforce geographic access policies.
• Administer Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Box, Tango, Adobe) and manage licenses, shared mailboxes and distribution lists.
• Provide Salesforce administration – user management, field/picklist configuration, Flow debugging, HubSpot sync, Communities support.
• Handle IT ticketing in FreshService, meeting strict SLA targets.
• Execute onboarding and off‑boarding workflows across Entra ID, Salesforce, UKG, Box and Smartsheet.
• Support security operations with Arctic Wolf alerts, Defender triage and SaaS risk assessments.
• Maintain shared credential vaults and MFA via 1Password.
• Coordinate with vendors such as GoDaddy, CDW, FedEx, WeWork and maintain thorough documentation.

Required profile

• 5+ years in IT Operations or senior systems administration.
• Proven hands‑on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, Defender and VPN solutions.
• Solid background in Microsoft 365 and Salesforce administration.
• Experience with ticketing platforms (FreshService) and strict SLA adherence.
• Familiarity with security tools (Arctic Wolf, 1Password) and vendor management.
• Excellent documentation habits and B2+ English proficiency.
