Senior Security Engineer

About the role

Aha! is a fully remote, profitable SaaS company that powers product teams with an integrated suite of tools. We are looking for a Senior Security Engineer to help protect our multi‑tenant Ruby on Rails platform and the services that support it.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across our web application, APIs, and infrastructure.
• Conduct threat modeling, security code reviews, and vulnerability assessments for Rails, Node.js, and React components.
• Develop and operate security automation for incident detection, response, and remediation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to embed security best practices into fast‑paced development cycles.
• Monitor and harden cloud resources on Amazon Web Services, including ECS, and manage related services such as Redis, Kafka, and Memcached.

Required profile

• Several years of experience securing large‑scale SaaS applications.
• Comfortable working fully remote and aligning with North‑American time zones.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to act quickly in a high‑velocity release environment.
