About the role

PwC is seeking a Senior Financial Audit professional to join its Assurance line of service in Quito. The role involves leading audit engagements, coordinating teams, and delivering high‑quality audit work for clients.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, review and finalize audit procedures in line with PwC methodology under the guidance of managers and directors.
• Coordinate audit tasks among team members, manage budgets and monitor phase‑specific execution.
• Review work performed by junior staff, ensuring quality, adherence to timelines and budgets, and report findings to senior leaders.
• Act proactively with clients to request, follow up and classify information, guaranteeing timely and accurate audit testing.
• Serve as the primary communication link between PwC teams and clients, organizing internal and external meetings.
• Document audit work in PwC systems using approved templates and policies.
• Provide timely feedback and technical guidance to trainees and associates.
• Inform the responsible manager of any exceptions or findings identified during the audit.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Auditing, Business Administration, Economics, Finance or related fields.
• 3‑5 years of audit experience, including at least 1 year leading audit teams.
• Intermediate to advanced English (B2 level) and Excel proficiency.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS (NIIFs), International Auditing Standards (NIAS) and current legal regulations applicable to the industry.
