Sales & Operations Consultant – Ecuador (Contingent)

About the role

World Fuel is looking for a Sales & Operations Consultant to support and expand its aviation fuel business in Ecuador. This contingent position combines relationship management, operational oversight, and business development to drive growth in a dynamic market.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and local authorities to ensure uninterrupted fuel operations.
• Oversee daily activities to guarantee safe, efficient, and timely delivery of aviation fuel and related services.
• Collaborate with on‑ground teams to uphold operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
• Increase off‑airport fuel sales by up to 20% through targeted commercial strategies.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities, including expanding Into‑Plane services and introducing imported fuel products such as Avgas and Jet A‑1.
• Support cross‑selling initiatives and new projects across World Fuel’s Ecuador operations.
• Provide market insights, assess risks, and advise on growth potential.
• Align with regional and global teams on commercial strategy and execution.

Required profile

• Proven experience in sales, operations, or commercial roles, preferably in aviation, fuel, or energy sectors.
• Strong understanding of the Ecuadorian market and its regulatory environment.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including clients, suppliers, and government entities.
• Demonstrated success in business development and revenue growth.
• Highly proactive, self‑directed, and comfortable working in a consulting/contract capacity.
