Human Resources Administrator

About the role

POLO Engineering, Inc. is looking for an experienced Human Resources Administrator to join its Quito office. This full‑time, on‑site position works on California business hours (7 a.m. – 4 p.m. PT) and will serve as the primary Labor Compliance representative while supporting all core HR functions.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and organize employee files, records, and HR documentation.
• Update and track Labor Compliance requirements for each project, including Certified Payroll Reports and deadline monitoring.
• Support recruiting efforts: post jobs, screen candidates, schedule interviews, and coordinate hiring steps.
• Assist with onboarding, orientation, and required documentation for new hires.
• Track attendance, time‑off, absences, and employee updates.
• Prepare and maintain employment agreements, policies, forms, and internal HR communications.
• Develop, implement, and enforce company policies and procedures.
• Generate HR and administrative reports as needed.
• Coordinate with U.S. management and administrative teams.
• Handle confidential employee and company information with discretion.
• Develop and manage employee KPIs and support growth through periodic meetings.

Required profile

• Prior experience in human resources, employee administration, or HR coordination.
• Strong knowledge of employee documentation, onboarding, attendance tracking, and personnel file management.
• Excellent organization, follow‑through, and attention to detail.
• Professional written communication skills.
