About the role

Kruger is looking for a Senior General Accountant to lead its finance function in Quito. The role combines strategic oversight of financial reporting with hands‑on management of tax compliance and intercompany operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with IFRS.
• Ensure compliance with Ecuadorian tax laws and regulatory filings (SRI, Superintendencia de Compañías, patents).
• Execute monthly and annual accounting closings.
• Manage intercompany transactions, transfer‑pricing issues, and double‑taxation agreements.
• Apply International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) across all accounting processes.
• Use legal and tax platforms (SRI, Superintendencia de Compañías, patents) for filings and reporting.
• Operate the company’s ERP system for accounting and financial management.
• Coordinate with external auditors and internal teams to guarantee transparency and compliance.

Required profile

• CPA degree authorized to sign legal documents.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and Ecuadorian tax regulations.
• Experience with SRI, Superintendencia de Compañías, and patent platforms.
• Understanding of transfer pricing and double‑taxation agreements.
• Proven experience with accounting ERP systems.
• Analytical mindset, organizational skills, and technical leadership ability.
